This year is a leap year, so what will you do with your extra day?
Here at Clatterbridge we want to make 2012 just that, a leap year to remember and we’re literally taking to the skies to prove it.
We want you to do something amazing and join our team of budding aerial enthusiasts to share a once in a lifetime 10,000ft Tandem Skydive. It’s sure to be a truly wonderful day as you experience such a unique challenge with a group of people all with the same aim, to help Clatterbridge cancer patients.
Every single person who takes part in Skydive Sunday will help us to fund vital research, the latest treatments and life-changing support services that would not be available without the support of people like you. Team and individual entries are welcome.

Britain V Cancer: The Jordan Desert Trek
19 – 26 April 2013
This very special and unique event is the first Open Challenge of its kind as it allows you to raise money for the cancer charity or hospice of your choice. Sign up for The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Charity and make a real difference to the lives of our patients and their families.
The Jordan Desert Trek entails five days of trekking starting at the Dead Sea and finishing in the red rock city of Petra. Accompanied by Bedouin guides you will trek through mountain and desert terrain using ancient trails. You will sleep under the stars en route to the beautiful city of Petra.
Registration for this fantastic event is £250 with a minimum sponsorship amount of £2500 making it a great first overseas challenge to attempt.

Join our Vietnam to Cambodia Cycle Challenge
6 – 17 October 2012
Do something amazing in 2012 by taking part in this fantastic cycling adventure. Starting in Vietnamese Saigon, now Ho Chi Minh City, you will cycle along the rice paddies and waterways of the beautiful Mekong Delta into Cambodia and onto one of the most impressive sights in Southeast Asia, the Royal Temples of Angkor Wat.
As you travel through beautiful rural landscapes, dotted with ruins of ancient civilizations and small towns where Buddhist temples nestle amongst graceful French colonial buildings and ramshackle houses, you’ll experience this region’s fascinating and unique culture at its best. Whilst you will encounter some rolling hills along the way, the main challenge lies in the long hot dusty days in the saddle as you peddle through these remote areas.
The Vietnam to Cambodia Cycle Challenge is an adventure of a lifetime and you need to be prepared to train and fundraise in the run up to the event. You’ll have to adapt quickly on arrival at this awesome destination as you get used to the climate, food, early wake up calls and your new best friend – your bike.
If you do get on your bike for Clatterbridge then our Events Team will be on hand to help with your fundraising and training, including organising training days if you like to train as a group. Our Events Manager will also be taking part in the challenge so you will have our full support every pedal of the way!
